OK I thought I'd try someone different, and I don't usually play often in the EPL but Villa
looked like it could be a fun game to play...
Here's how its gone down so far:

TRANSFERS IN
Lassana Diarra (DM) Portsmouth $2.5mil + $5mil over 12mths
Quality defensive midfielder, pushing Reo-Coker to the bench
Marcelo (WBL) - Real Madrid $5.25mil
My bargain of the season so far. A bit more than most would pay but still worth it.
Gael Nlundulu (AMR) - Portsmouth $3.2mil
Definite player for the future, Doing very well in the U/18 league (7.63)
Paulo Ferreira (DR)- Chelsea $1.3mil
Luke Young suffered an Injury putting him out for 6mths so a cheap yet possibly better player.
Excellent back-up for either fullback position.
Eidur Gudjohnsen(ST) - Barcelona $2.2mil
Brought back to the EPL. Always been a fan of his (maybe a biased purchase). Can do the job.
Oscar Ustari (GK) - Getafe 825K + $4.1Mil 24mths
Nice young keeper good back-up for a season or 2 while Freidel fades out and Taylor fills in
Will be joining 01/07/09
Luis Jimenez (AMR) - Ternana $2.2mil + Inter $2.2mil
Excellent winger, will have to perform... has alot of competition
Edgar Davids (DM) - Free Transfer.
Experience in Europe could come in handy.

Brad Guzan (GK) - Vitoria Guimaraes $400k (transfer for $1.7mil)
Decent young keeper, will always be back-up. Can't see him dveloping well enough.
Nathan Delfouneso (ST) - Queen of the South Loan(Affiliate)
Excellent young player who will be a star for Villa in the future.
Doing OK in the Scottish first division, 6 matches 3 goals (7.22)
Stiliyan Petrov (DM) - Middlesbrough $4.0mil
Emergency sale to make funds for Jimenez. could of got more but meh.
ALOT of competition for his position and unfortunately he lost out with Diarra coming in
Released all players myself & my coaching staff have considered deadwood.
