Re: Next manager to go?
As long as he channels it into playing well for Arsenal I don't mind. If his fiery spirit results in more public criticism of his team-mates then I'll be happy to see him move on.

Re: Next manager to go?
yeah you might have had injuries and suspensions but Wenger hasnt bothered trying to get any players that would be decent backup players.
drogba has hardly played has he under the new manager?
looking at the squads i think Man U have the stronger squad with players that are able to player weeek in week out
where as Chelsea i think has the weakest younger players closely followed by Liverpool
true hes been an A**!!!

Re: Next manager to go?
Maybe in January he will get some back-up in. But to be honest we have back-up in most positions:
Goalkeeper: Fabianski, good back-up
Defence: Eboue (injured) Silvestre, Djourou (currently having to play), Gibbs (looks a quality left back in the Carling Cup. Traore is with you!)
Midfield: Eboue covers Walcott sometimes (who is injured). Diaby is backup (injured). Aaron Ramsey is back-up and looks like a massive prospect. Vela and Wilshere could play left midfield, but Rosicky (injured) or Nasri would be back-up when they're both available.
Strikers: Bendtner, Vela, Eduardo (injured)
That's surely enough back-up! Most of them are either injured or playing though because they're filling in for an injured first teamer! If we get too much more back-up in than that people will be getting annoyed.

Re: Next manager to go?
Yeah I'd agree with you there about some of the players. There's question marks over Eboué. I think he's good enough to be a back-up rightback, but we need better cover for Walcott. Ramsey and Denilson have been used there but I think they're square pegs in round holes when put out on the right.
Silvestre I'm still not sure on, but Djourou I definitely am, so as long as we have 1 of Gallas and Toure fit then we'll be ok as Johan can fill in.
Bendtner needs to be a lot more consistent. He has the potential but he only shows flashes of it. Vela is amazing and is no doubt going to be world class, but I think it's still going to take time before he is fully adapted and ready to consistently do the business in the Premiership.
I advise you to watch our game away to Burnley tomorrow night. I could be sticking my neck out here if we fail, but if it's anything like our Carling Cup run so far then you'll see that we're alright for squad depth.

slighty different playing agame against a Championship team then it is to play week in week out in the prem, the younger players seem to only be played in the cup and if someone else is injured / suspended then they might get a chance

Re: Next manager to go?
Ok, but we played Wigan in the last round and dominated them, winning 3-0. They're a prem team.
To be honest, if we win 1-0 tomorrow night, then I accept your point that that isn't really anything special. If we win comfortably with a good scoreline just like a first team Premiership line-up would do then I think they're good enough to be back-up for Arsenal for the time-being.
Plus, Burnley knocked Chelsea out.

Re: Next manager to go?
Ok that's fair enough, but I'm not saying we could put them all out in the Premiership. I just think they've shown enough in those games that they're at least good enough to be back-up with one or two coming in from time to time when other players are injured. 3-0 against Wigan is a good result for any Premiership team, I'll be surprised if the Arsenal first team match it at the weekend. It could have been more aswell if it wasn't for an inspired Kirkland performance.
I don't see how you can say we lack decent back-up when we've got an entire back-up team looking like good candidates to win a trophy?

Re: Next manager to go?
Yeah agree with you there. Would be pretty amazing if they all became first team Arsenal players. Even that bunch of Man Utd players that came through was 6 and that was pretty amazing.
Will definitely make it at Arsenal: Wilshere, Ramsey, Vela, Fabianski. Wilshere, Vela and possibly Ramsey will become Arsenal legends, possibly world beaters.
Might make it Arsenal: Gibbs, Gavin Hoyte, Merida (if not will be sold and will make it elsewhere)
Will make it elsewhere, lower Premiership player or good Championship: Randall, Simpson
Song, Bendtner and Djourou are already squad players.

Oh yeah definitely. Sorry, I just forgot him as I was thinking of the players who started against Wigan and Sheffield United.

Re: Next manager to go?
I haven't seen much of him at Pompey. How's the defensive side of his game coming along because I always felt he looked better attacking or playing left wing. He's amazingly quick though, I think he's even faster than Clichy and Walcott!

Re: Next manager to go?
Has he been playing left-back or left wing? If left wing then it doesn't matter too much about his defensive side. Maybe we can have him next season and you can have Gibbs, who is prety much a clone of him but younger, so needs the experience aswell!
